I am Sadie Santovasi. I like to go to Red Sox games, which will be majority of my plans for the summer. I also play the drums, and get at-home lessons from my father who is also a drummer. I am interested in this course because I would like to be aware of, and understand, the past and present of our government. My favorite president was John F. Kennedy because he was the youngest person to be elected president, he had many accomplishments , and nonetheless, his assassination is intriguing and something to learn from. I do not have a favorite politician, as of right now.

DeleteHi I am Justine Lewicki. I am a cheerleader for WHS. I traveled to Dallas in January for cheer leading. This summer I am going to Old Orchard Beach Maine, a place I have gone every year since I was 4. I am interested in AP Gov because I like to talk about current issues in our world and past ones, and I'd love to learn new things about our government. My favorite president was George W. Bush because of his excellent response to the 9/11 attacks,and also aiding Africa with 15 billion dollars. He was a president who put other in front of himself and helped everyone through tough times. My favorite politician would be Donald Trump because of his ideas for our country and I like how he is a businessman and offers many future advances in the country.
ReplyDeleteI am Carmela Rubano. In my my free I like to go running, but in the spring time after school I do outdoor track and field, which I love doing. Over the summer I am going to Rhode Island and spending about a week there with my family and going to the beach and relaxing and doing all sorts of fun activities with them. I am interested in this course because I want to broaden my horizons about our government,how it works,and have a better understanding of it. My favorite president is John F. Kennedy because not only he was a very good president, but his assassination is very interesting to learn about. I do not have a favorite politician as of right now.
ReplyDeleteI am Alexa Johnson and my hobbies include listening to music and drawing. I am interested in this course because I would like to expand my knowledge further on government and politics. My favorite president would have to be Franklin D. Roosevelt because of his skills with public persuasion and foreign relations. FDR also led the U.S through the difficult years of WW2 and During the Great Depression when many Americans felt hopeless he also assured them, “we have nothing to fear but fear itself.” This shows his care for his people and hope for success in the future. I do not have a favorite politician as of right now.

I am interested in this course because I enjoy learning about what is happening in the world today, as well as what happened in the past that effected today’s political and economic aspects. I am also very interested in learning about how the United States government has worked from the beginning, as I do not know much on the subject. ReplyDeleteHello I am Aaliyah Nieves. I enjoy listening to music, reading fantasy and mystery novels, and cooking for my family. I do not have any weird habits. During the summer my family and I will be going to Rhode island and New Jersey over the months to visit and stay with some family members. I am interested in AP government and politics due to my keen interests on how America's foundation or government has changed and developed from when it was first created to how it is now. My favorite US president would have to be George W. Bush who cut taxes in half, decreased the amount of family's living in poverty, and helped raised more awareness and support for education for kids and adults. I currently do not have a favorite politician.
ReplyDeleteHi I’m Kyle Hensel. I like to play sports. The two sports I play are baseball and football. My summer plans are to play baseball. I also like the Yankees and patriots. I am interested in this course because I want to learn more about how the United States is structured and learn more about how politics work and how it was in the past. My favorite president is Abe Lincoln because his tall hat always interested me and ended slavery which was a big part of today. Also because his assassination has interested me. My current favorite president is Donald Trump because is trying to make advances in the country right now and continues to make this country grow.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tyler Conroy. I like to play electric guitar, something I plan on spending a majority time of doing this summer. I also enjoy riding horses and competing in state, which I will also be doing much of over break. As far as vacationing goes, my family is considering going to, Festival D’été de Québec, a music festival in Quebec in July, which I am very excited for since I have never been out of the country and I love going to concerts. My favorite president would be William Howard Taft, because he turned down repeated offers to serve on the U.S Supreme Court even when it was his dream job because he felt he could be of better service to the U.S citizens, as a politician. Currently I do not have a favorite politician, but I am hoping this class will help me to gain a deeper understanding of the way our government functions, and how I will be able to participate as a citizen.
ReplyDeleteI’m Brianna Masse, my hobbies include reading, video games, and going to robotics. During the summer I’m going to South Carolina for a little over a week, and 3 days in Maine for a robotics competition. Something interesting about me is I’ve been on the robotics team for 3 years, and I have blue hair! I’m interested in AP Gov because it will be interesting to learn the complexity of our government and its politics. My favorite president was Grant. He is a prime example of never knowing what someone is capable of. He never stood out as a child, but later in life became one of the most influential people of the Civil War, then went on to become president. I don’t really have favorite current politician, I don’t really keep up on that kind of stuff. And even if I do, I try to remain neutral.
ReplyDeleteI am Maddy Provenzano. My hobbies include spending time with my friends, watching netflix and horseback riding. This summer I am going to Punta cana in the Dominican with my cousin alex for a week. Something interesting about me is that I enjoy writing essays. I am excited to be taking Ap gov because I enjoy learning about politics and government and voicing how I feel about controversial topics. I dont really have a favorite president because as a younger child I never really payed attention to politics, but as I get older i become more interested. Not going to lie though Obama was pretty good.

My hobbies include reading philosophical and fantasy texts, playing video games, playing tennis, playing soccer, pondering about life and death, stressing out about absolutely nothing, and enjoying nature. I tend to somehow be energetic and lazy at the same time. I go to Cape Cod every summer for two weeks. I was born in Switzerland, raised there for five years, then moved over here. My goal is to get back over there. I am also deeply interested in math and science. I am not as interested in US Government and Politics as I am in taking an AP course. I am here to challenge myself, and, learn something along the way, even if I'm not too interested in the class. I do like arguing and persuading people, though. I do not have a favorite President, they all helped to create the world we have today. I have no favorite politician, rather, I focus on what they do and say, not who they are. Plus, I don't really care. I hope this class doesn't stress me out too much.
ReplyDeleteI am Christina Japs. I enjoy baking and playing volleyball. I also love animals which is why I’m going to volunteer at an animal shelter over the summer. As for vacationing, I plan on going to the beach a lot this summer. I am interested in AP goverment and politics because I am not really all that aware of how the government works and I hope to gain a deeper understanding through this course. I do not have a favorite president or politician because I have never had a real urge to become more involved and aware until now. But, Donald Trump definately peaks my interest because he does so many things that would not be expected from a president

Over the summer my family will be heading over to California to visit my cousins. I’m definently interested in leaning more about our government and seeing what really goes on since I don’t know that much right now. Honestly I don’t have a favorite president or politician, I cannot make choices.
ReplyDeleteHello. My name is Kyan Konareski and I like to watch the Yankees and I also like to play sports. I play baseball, basketball, cross country, indoor and outdoor track. Over the summer I will be volunteering at Wolcott High School to help with summer camp and I will be going to New Jersey with my family. I want to take this class to educate myself on what is happening and what has happened in the United States. I love debating about what is happening in the world and how the United States can fix these problems. I find debating very interesting because it gets very intense and you are able to see what others think. It is also fun because everybody will have a different opinion.

ReplyDeleteI'm Ben Trombley, I like sports, any New England team ever,and music as well as trivia. I do not have many plans this summer besides to work on my car. It's beat to all heck but I'll be driving it to school someday. I'm interested in ap gov because it helps for college in the moey department if I do good on the final test, but I will also end up with a deeper understanding of the United States Political system as well as how laws are made can really benefit someone later on in life. My favorite President was William Taft because he needed a bigger bathtub installed in the White House. More seriously, Teddy Roosevelt was my favorite because of his humane nature as well as his contributions to the nation as a veteran an a president. My favorite politician as of now is president Trump because I support any President as long as they do not run us into the ground.
