America Is Consensual

In the world we live in today, society will never fully agree on everything. Yet in America no matter our race, religion, political party, gender, nor ethnicity, we will always be brought together by one common idea. The American Dream. The American Dream is the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to succeed through hard work and determination. America politics is consensual. Our country does not see eye to eye on every topic, yet everybody has a dream to succeed. We want to create a future generation where our children are able follow their dreams and become successful. Even two presidential candidates who acted like they HATED each other in the 2016 election, still came together and their goal was to fulfill the American  Dream. Donald Trump in one of his rally videos said “I promise to bring back the American Dream”. After President Trump has won, Hillary Clinton had congratulated him in a video, she says “the American Dream is for everybody”. We are all brought together from different beliefs yet in America we all want the American Dream. President Trump said himself “America can come together despite beliefs, and I will renew the American Dream”. In David Brooks writing, he stated, “In Montgomery County 60 percent of the population is white, 15 percent is black, 12 percent is Hispanic, and 11 percent is Asian. In Franklin County 95 percent of the population is white.” A wider variety brings more diversity, which brings America together. Back many years ago, America started as a home for immigrations traveling over on the Mayflower. This connects society to see point of views, and develops a well known basis of what America is really about. We all want the American dream and while we focus on getting more equality, fighting on topics of discussion, and debating on which party is better. America is not a constant fight between the two “America’s”. We are all one United States and come together to create a future. Red and Blue states united makes us diverse and connected, because we all want one common idea. The American Dream.
