America is more conflictual

Red States and Blue States having trouble agreeing with each other and fighting

America is a conflictual political culture because factions are formed and never agree on much and therefore make the people divided, divisions make it hard to rule effectively, and political subcultures can erupt. This is shown because every decision made in America is based off of a political party. These decisions are made from opinions that are formed off of what people believe. This can be shown when the presidential election is taking place and the states show of either blue or red on TV. These colors are the Red and Blue American states which are groups formed off of opinions based off of factions because these show what believe of the presidents and who they want to run the country. The blue america is democrats, and the red america is republicans in which they both live very differently. This is shown when Brooks writes, "Red America is traditional, religious, self- disciplined, and patriotic. Blue America is modern, secular, self-expressive, and discomfited by blatant displays of patriotism... America is not fatally split, it is deeply divided, between a heartland conservative population that adheres to a strict morality and a liberal population that lives by a loose one" (Brooks). With this being said ti can cause conflicts and there will never be a simple compromise. This would happen because they are split because they do not agree and therefore would be arguments beforehand. This agreement may not even happen at all because not everyone is not going to agree. This is able to happen though because we live in America and we a allowed to express ho we feel.  According to VOX the electoral college is a bad way to show which presidents have won the elections. This is shown when Montana was won by the republicans but only had  3 electoral votes. Where as a state like Massachusetts has more votes even though it is a smaller state. This shows that this is unfair because the democrats won and got 4 times the amount og votes and can cause conflict on who wins. Also on the Crossfire it shows how two different political parties show their beliefs but will never happen because they will never believe the same things. This shows how hard it can be to come up with a compromise and that the red and blue states will always be based off of the peoples opinions and how this can affect the way people think. I do disagree with what we discussed in class. This being with how the red states live in rual areas and the blue states live in cities. I also disagree with how res states are less educated and make less money. I disagree with this because this is stereotypical and not everyone has to be like this to agree with or live in one colored state. Also I disagree because you can believe in what you want. With this being said I feel that the United States is more conflictual than consensual. These are all ways that support how America has many conflicts than agreeing with one another
