Landslides, Extreme Heat, and Floods hit Asia.



Vietnam
Flash-flooding hits Vietnam with extreme damage done.  Homes, heatlth care centers, hospitals, and school were destroyed including 21 people dead and many missing.  Floods rushed through small villages clearing the land leaving nothing left.  These tropical storms are causing evacuations to safer places.  “More than 190,000 people have evacuated” to Shanghai from Vietnam and people are still clearing the dangerous areas.

Philippines
In the Philippines “728,000 people were evacuated from their homes” and 585 villages were affected from heavy rain.  Winds reaching up to 86 mph has swept through the Philippines and there is expected to be 6-7 inches of rain still to come.  Flights have been canceled due to the weather.




Japan
Southern Japan is suffering from extreme heat while others are experiencing torrential downpours and strong winds. An estimated “128 million people have been impacted by the heat wave” and it’s been for two weeks. The extreme heat is having a impact on 90% of the country. Already, there have been 13 deaths caused by the heat.
