Larry Nassar- Should He Get a Re-sentencing

Judge Auilian, Attorney, and Larry Nassar during the trial
After watching the EPSYs award ceremony many were moved to take action on the case of Larry Nassar. He was a former gymnast doctor for girls from the age of 8 to 24 years old. There has been a total of 265 women that opened up to the judge when he was on trial earlier this year. During the trial many emotions and tears filled the courtroom while victims approached their abuser. Judge Aquilina had sentenced Dr. Nassar to 60 years in federal prison and 40-175 years in prison for his terrible acts. This ultimately is said to be a life time in prison.

Sometime being in prison after the sentencing in January, Dr. Nassar had requested that his sentencing be changed. He has believed that Judge Aquilina new the verdict before the trial had even started. This may or may not be true, but he continues to make the accusation that the judge was bias. Dr. Nassar has also said that he was attacked in prison by a victims father. When filing this attack he made the statement that Judge Aquilina had encouraged these type of things to happen. Due to his believed accusations Dr. Nassar wants a different judge to give him a re-sentencing.

Knowing about the many stories of these women who were sexually abused by this man gives enough reason why he should be in prison for the time being. I want to know, do you think that he really deserves another re-sentencing on this? Do you think it is just that Judge Aquilina did in some instances was vocal about her opinion? If he does get another judge do you think he will be awarded a different sentencing then what he has already received?
