by Eric Schmitt

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/31/world/asia/imran-khan-pakistan-us-afghanistan.html

Imran Khan a former on the rise cricket star is on his way to being Pakistans new leader which may disrupt future peace treaties with the U.S. After tensions between the Pakistan and the U.S. were exacerbated the U.S. decided to suspend all american aid with them. Now Mr. Khan has voiced his opinion saying he thinks the U.S. is reckless and must stop drone striking suspected extremists and sides with the Taliban's fight in the 17 year conflict with Afghanistan and it was justified.

iv'e decided to choose this article because it is something small that can turn into something big if we don't talk about or if we don't do something about it which we haven't yet.

Discussion questions:
1. Do you believe the U.S. should stop bombing the Taliban extremest. Explain

2.What are some steps the U.S. can take to change the mind
of the soon to beleader of Pakistan

3. Should the U.S. government listen to Imran Khan.

4. Do you believe this will turn into a big deal.
