Trump Says You Need an ID to Buy Groceries. Shoppers Say, ‘Huh?’

President Trump says that consumers must show ID when using a credit card and or check while purchasing groceries. Many people have said to that Donald has not been to a grocery store himself to purchase groceries ever. Many people are saying that he has not been inside a grocery store. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary answered several questions. She stated that customers would only need to show ID when purchasing beer or alcohol.

Discussion questions:

1. Do you believe that a costumer should have to show ID when using a check or credit card while purchasing groceries. Why?

2. Should Donald Trump be criticized for never buying groceries or do you think that this is a bluff?

3. How would this change affect the stores and the consumers.

  2. I do not believe that any one should have to show an ID unless purchasing an alcoholic beverage such as beer or whiskey. I believe that if Donald Trump wants to enforce a law about a certain topic, such as grocery shopping, then he should take the 1-2 hours out of his day to do it, or face the criticism. If this law were to be past, considerably more people would pay in cash, just to dodge the hassle of showing some random 17 year old cashier your ID every time you go to get a dozen eggs and milk.
